I just upgraded a template I have on openHABian, on a new R-Pi 4 from 4.3.7 to 5.1.3 and get this error. It’s 64 bit (“aarch64” showing at the top when I login through Putty). Release shows as bookworm.
So this error seems incorrect. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I upgraded the system through option 2 of the openHABian console thinking that there might be some old packages triggering this but I’m still getting the error.
Anyone? I just ran another upgrade on a different controller and got the same message. The kernel version is 1.6.6 instead of 1.6.12 as with the new openHABian v5 release but that shouldn’t matter. Should I not worry about this message since I am actually running Bookworm or take some action?
Frankly: if you want an answer you mustn’t be asking maximum-cut down questions like this and expect us to drag the information we need to answer out of you.
Remember: no reader of your post knows what you have installed (HW, OS, OH, ), how you configured it and what else you did to your system in question (e.g. manually installed packages).
The root cause can be in any of these. So all of this information is required to properly answer your question. Anything else is inefficient guessing at the dark, and it’s very annoying for a volunteer willing to help you to do that under these conditions.
You need to provide all the relevant details yourself upfront.
The least thing to provide would be a full install log with debug=maximum level output.

What do you mean with “template”? Are you running docker or directly on the Pi?
You can switch the log level in /etc/openhabian.conf to max (debugmode=maximum) which usually reveals the problem.
Thanks for the responses and the tips about the log file. I DID provide the info. listed above in my original post.
I have decided to just restore backups to a my v5.x template for the few machines I have with this issue. FWIW the template is just an install with all of the Add-Ons, Items, and rules I typically need with these systems.
