A couple of Z-Wave config questions

I’ve seen mention that you can configure a Z-Wave USB stick as secondary controller to allow
it to operate in parallel with a primary one (i.e. Smartthings) Where can this be specified in
the openHAB2 configuration?

As I migrate away from Smartthings I have a number of wall switches distributed throughout
and most of them are a fair distance from the to-be secondary controller. Short of dragging my
openHab server to each room of the house, how can I pair them to openHAB2 easily? Is
there a config setting that allows for long-distance pairing?
