Hi guys,
I’m developing currently a binding for Paradox alarm system which connects directly to the alarm system via IP interface. So far the progress is very good as standalone application.
Today I started to move it as OH binding in order to enable it in OH.
I have separate Main.java class which has main method but I have issue setting up the logger.

I wonder if any of you are using both scenarios - as standalone application for faster debugging/testing and also as OH binding?
Receive the following output when getting the logger from the loggerfactory:
SLF4J: Failed to load class “org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder”.
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See [SLF4J Error Codes](http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder) for further details.

I’ve added these as dependencies to my pom.xml like in my other standalone application but with no success:

org.slf4j
slf4j-api
1.6.6

ch.qos.logback
logback-classic
1.0.9
runtime

Thanks in advance,
Konstantin

Hi,
just to share that I’ve found an easy solution. Not sure why I didn’t test that before… just had to add the logback and slf4j .jars to running configuration of eclipse and voila.
Now I can debug my binding’s backend as a standalone app which is useful for testing the communication parts.
Hope this can be useful for someone else at some point in time.
