Adding node failed on zwave.me UZB1 controller

The security setting won’t make any difference to the initial inclusion which is performed by the controller. This only changes what the binding does for the key exchange. If the controller is not including the device, then I’m not really sure what else can be changed to fix that.

Do you have any other devices to test to see if the problem is with the stick? Are you sure that this stick is definitely an EU version? (I’m assuming you’re in the EU).

Now I did the test with no security, same result, no new thing found. :frowning:

The stick is EU version, “ZMEEUZB1”.
And no, I have no other zwave devices for testing.
I bought the stick together with the POPPs in the same shop.
If nothing works, maybe really the stick has a problem. Then I will try tomorrow to get a replacement.

I returned the stick and received a new one, plugged in and restarted OH.
I reseted my 2 Popp sensors (10 sec button press), used the “do not use security” mode and started the inclusion, stick is blinking, and try to include one of the sensors:

Unfortunately I have no idea what is going wrong. I only can proove to you that the POPP is working with zwave :sunglasses::grinning:

Well, it looks like the problem was sitting in front of the screen :upside_down:

I was always pressing the button on the smoke detector for the inclusion… well, NO!!! I need to press the small button on the rear of the device PCB which was covered by the baseplate Dammed!!!

NOW I understand
