Hi, this is my first post here and the second about IoT, so I am totally new with this subject. What I would like ask you is your opinion about what direction to take if you want to design an open solution where the sensors to use are from different vendors. We checked the list of supported platforms and for instance if we want to use Raspberry and Xbee, it only can work work with Digi sensors (there is an option to change profile/stack but it seems not “natural”) Our idea is to use openHab as middleware, a commercial/open controller/router and Zigbee sensors from different vendors.
I will appreciate your advice/answer.
