I’ve found with multiple of mine that the battery contacts flatten out inside the unit and stop making contact.
My solution is to just bend them back out again using a small screwdriver or similar and reinstall the batteries.
I’m having the same trouble with my multisensor too and I have been in contact with aeotec for the last 2 months. Still the same issue battery goes dead within 1 month and reporting 100%. Things I have tried
- Ensure I’m using a 3V battery, not 3.7V s that is not supported.

- Wake up interval to 7200
- Looked at the logs and notice it only reported every 1 hour, which is good. On USB power it was much more frequent.
- My firmware is at 1.8
- It is in the garage so hardly any traffic in there.
- Increase motion sensor reset timeout to 1 hr.
Not sure how to solve this TBH.
I gave up on mine and put them all on USB power.
Did use a small fortune on CR123 batteries thought…
Think the latest FW is 1.11, but haven’t tried that one with batteries.
