All my nodes seen offline

Platform information:
Hardware: 2vCPU / 2 Go RAM
OS: Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS (VM)
openjdk version “1.8.0_163”
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (Zulu 8.28.0.1-linux64) (build 1.8.0_163-b01)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (Zulu 8.28.0.1-linux64) (build 25.163-b01, mixed mode)
openHAB version: Version: 2.2.0-1

I’m unsing a Zwave stick correctly recognized by OpenHAB , all my node are offline (Switches and Dimmers).

Only one switch sometime is recognized for few second if I interact with it manualy.

This is an extract of the console log :

What could be wrong ?
Thank you

Bump I need help. Thank you

Have they been online before? How long?
Have you done recent changes?

Have tried to kill a thing and re-find it? What is the outcome of a reboot?

I had a similar problem with an homematicIP switch on battery which I think is due to the sleep modus, can this be the case here?

This controller managed these nodes before with Indigo 6 Home Automation. I decided to switch to OpenHAB for Alexa Skill.

The weird thing is, I got 1 time a “alive node” but just 1 time. no more the case now.

I’m strugeling with OpenHAB setup and Zwave config :frowning:

Two things I can think of.

  1. The unknown devices are battery powered in which case you need to wake them up several times to give the Zwave binding enough of a chance to interrogate it to figure out what it is. Each device has it’s own way to wake it up so you need to look in their respective manuals.

  2. Those devices are not in the zwave database yet in which case:

Hello,

There are no battery powered devices, they are switches

They still work under Indigo 6 so why should not be on the Zwave List ?!?!

Have you shutdown or stopped your Indigo 6 instance?

Actually not, why I should have to , this is not the same computer.

Because the Indigo 6 Zwave implementation has nothing in common with the OH Zwave binding.

So my devices will never work on OpenHAB ?

Not with your Indigo 6 instance still running…This is evident even when going from OpenHAB to mounting a Z-Stick with Zensys Tools. Zensys can’t associate with the devices until the other controller software is stopped/shut down. Shutdown Indigo 6 and retry discovery.

Thanks, I will do it and keep you in touch

Shutdowned my Indigo 6 server , rescan and all my Things are mark as dead. Should I provide you something more ?

Do I waste my time trying to get OpenHAB working ?

First thing I would try is stopping the zwave bundle from the karaf console.

bundle:stop <bundleid>

Go to /var/lib/openhab2/zwave and delete any node.xmls that have populated (aside from your controller).

Go back to karaf console and

bundle:start <bundleid>

I will do right know keep you posted. Thanks a lot ae_0017

Finaly I decided to give up. Spend too much time in OpenHAB in order to get it work properly. Go back to Indigo 7. Thanks for you help
