Is it possible to configure a switch (or any other item) to only be controlled from specific IP addresses? It’s like giving access permissions to certain users and blocking others.
eg. The master bedroom light cannot be turned on/off by the child’s phone but, only by the parents’ phone.
Sounds like a perfect excuse for habpanel since that can be configured per device.
Unless you can use visibility on the device being used to hide a switch.
This can’t be done in OH directly. If you are good with nginx or apache you can possible implement something like this in a reverse proxy.
There has been an issue to add authorization and authentication open since before OH 2.0 was released. No one has taken on the task to implement it.
That’s unfortunate. I’ll have to do some research into it then.
