Amazon Echo Binding offline

I’ll just be patient personally but I suspect many on this thread will be very interested in work arounds.

tried to describe how it works here:
https://community.openhab.org/t/node-red-for-connecting-amazon-echo-devices-to-openhab/167205

I have had to restart my OpenHAB today, and now I also have the exact same as you described. So now can’t connect to Amazon devices, Apple has pulled the same trick by the looks of it (iCloud binding, authentication problem), so those cannot be accessed, and also SunSynk (New Sun Synk Connect Account and Inverter Binding)

There goes virtually all my Things / Items / and automations!!!

Sun Synk binding fix submitted, waiting on Pull Request code review.

Sun Synk breaking changes

I have been using the Amazon Echo Binding from version 3 on and it always worked but just a few days ago it stopped working. I am always on the latest OH version as I am using docker (very easy migration). It keeps responding “CONFIGURATION_PENDING Please login in through servlet: …”. When I try to do that it returns an error even though I am using correct credentials. Something must have changed.

yes. It’s described 7 posts above. For TTS 3 workarounds are described here in the forum.

i have the same issue, bridge and echo things all offline. tried to login with correct credentials but giving me “Login to ‘amazon.com’ failed: Could not register as app. Try again”

I just followed the steps described in the pull request:

  • Uninstalled the old addon
  • put the new 5.x jar files in my addon folder /usr/share/openhab/addons in openhabian

and it worked like a charm! I even did not need to login again!

@lsiepel thank you so much for that fix!!

I got some issues:

334 x Installed x  80 x 5.1.0.202511221825    x openHAB Add-ons :: Bundles :: Amazon Echo Control Binding
openhab> bundle:start 334

WOW, WOW, WOW.

Hello All. My more that THANKS belongs special to @digitaldan and also to @lsiepel
You have more than my recpect, that the binding is working again like a charme.

The experiance, after serveral weeks now offline, and now, doing only a update from 5.02 to the 5.03, is such high, which I have never expected.

I have nothing different than, as an classic update from 5.02 to 5.03 and everything works,
OK, I have had to manual install the webhock binding, but this is fine.

So I never had with OH such of a positive experiance after a binding was not more working as it should be.

I take my hat off to you all !!!

Thanks!
