Amazon Echo Control, Sonos Speakers and VoiceRSS Text-to-Speech

So I am experimenting with the say Command with VoiceRSS and my SONOS speakers. I am getting away from the Echo Binding “textToSpeech” as it takes over 15 seconds to actually say the TTS now and it is getting frustrating. The say Command is instant.

I am using my voice to talk to Alexa to start the music. I also use the channel “playMusicVoiceCommand” in the Echo Binding to start music too.

I am running into a problem or bug not sure which it is. Whenever I am playing the music on my SONOS speaker, I send a TTS command with say. It pauses my music, says the tts command to the speaker, and then keeps it paused and does not resume it.

BUT, If I use the channel “favorite” to start my music from the SONOS binding, I send a TTS command with say. It pauses my music, says the tts command to the speaker, and then it resumes the music ( It may restart the track or skip to the next track, which I can live with)… But it does resume playing the music.

Anyone else have any experience/ problems with this? Am I supposed to somehow capture the state somehow and replay the music manually?

Thanks.
