I use a Shelly 3em to measure my current. I also use some sockets with current sensors. Then I am a user of various LLM tools, some in the cloud, some (to be fair significantly less) on prem. In my world, I have everything in place. I don’t want to buy sockets with current sensors for every household appliance. As a human, I am able to look at diagrams and get a better understanding. Now it’s up to the computers.
IMHO you all know, how graphs looks like.
I can look at them and identify my various household appliances.
This is my fridge
This my oven.
And this is my washing machine.
It is also possible to look at the graphs and (manually) count the coffee extraction of the espresso machine.
Ideally, I use a tool in openHAB to annotate the metrics in the diagram and click “Save”. Magic then looks at the diagrams (knowing which device appears in the characteristic diagram) and adds up the power consumption for each device. Some nice bar charts show the consumption.
Is there a solution for this?
