Anybody here with wall mounted iPad?

I have a wall mounted iPad Mini 4 constantly connected to openHAB.
Sleep mode is deactivated so that the iPad is constantly ON.
Does anybody also experience that sometimes you have to tap twice in order to get the desired result? It seems to me that after a couple of hours I have this fault. However, it is not reproducible.
I tried with another iPad Mini but with the same result.

Hi,
I have a iPad Pro wall mounted.
Can‘t confirm what you are saying. First touch triggers the function.

But my iPad isn‘t awake all the time. The iPad display turns on as soon as I walk in front of it (motion sensor).

Yes, my problem is probably related to wakening up the device allthough I cannot reproduce it.
What motion sensor and solution do you use?

This is how you can get it to work: Use eg a contact, motion sensor etc and expose it to HomeKit. Configure the eg contact in HomeKit to send a push notification to your device when it’s status changes. And now comes the magic Set up the guided access in iOS for your openhab app or browser. If now the iPad receives the push notification from your sensor, the screen will light up, but the notification won’t show because of the guided access. Looks like this: …
