I am running openHab version 4.3.4 and I changed some icons on my floor plan and used iconify icons.
The icons show up on my computer browser (firefox) but not on the phone or tablet openHab app (both android). I also have iconofy icons on my overview page and they work on both the computer and the android devices.
But no icon appears in the android app.
If I open a browser on the android device and go to my floor plan the iconify icon is there, so it looks like something in the app is stopping the displaying of the icon.
I have cleared the cache on the android app and that didn’t do anything.
If I change the icon back to use oh:fan_ceiling it displays that icon in the app.
yes, have a similar issue, but using openhab App for iOS & iPadOS.
Some Iconify icons (meteocons & ion) are shown, some not, for some I have defined some conditions in sitemap, for some not. Some are shown unmodified as even some were I have modified iconcolor on condition.
They are perfectly shown in browsers like Firefox, Edge, Safari on PC or mobile devices.
I was beginning to think I was the only one seeing this.
Thanks for your reply.
I wonder what is blocking it in the app as it works fine in the web browser?
I am in doubt they get blocked somehow and rather suspect the App may not able to show some/many of the icons, due to format, size or being kind of dynamic.
Tested a little further and its the IMHO icons with animation. App can handle icon and/or iconcolor changes on condition, but obviously not Iconify icons constantly animated, e.g. “meteocons”, as also others. Only exception, the moon phase icons out of meteocons are working properly so far, but need to monitor that further the next 29 days …
App is also able to handle OH builtin dynamic icons like “humidity” (gauge) along a percentage rate. But those are not constantly moving, just change on value change.
Changed now my approach using changing static icons on conditons, as also within that iconcolors. Iconify Framework7 and IonIcons do work quite well.
