App broken after upgrade

I have submitted a bug report trough Test Flight, before this iOS version was released. Describing the problem on older 2.5 version. But still it was released.

Is there no tracking of Test Flight’s reports before signing it off?

@Kai What is the proper way of reporting bugs in test version of iOS app, please?

Same here. OpenHAB liefert eine leere Sitemap-Liste. Hope there will be an app Update soon….

Same issue here

I figured out that the internal URL (IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080) is not working anymore. With the external URL (myopenhab.org) the Sitmap still gets loaded!

The new version 2.4.54 claims to have an “Advanced reachability logic” but unfortunately it is not working! I just erased the port no. from the internal IP to force to load the external URL.

But this is not really fixing the problem…

I got it back to work - somehow.

Have you included the protocol for your internal URL, like this: http://192.168.0.120:8080 ?

Ignore SSL: OFF
Send credentials always: OFF

Et voila! The sitmap was loading again via the internal URL.

Let me know if that helped you as well!?

Tried OpenHab on an iPhone 11 Pro and also on an iPad (7th generation), both devices with current iOS 16.1 (20B82).
OpenHab app version iPhone: 2.4.54 (1580410525),
OpenHab app version iPad: 2.4.53 (1580410519).

Unfortunately your solution didn’t work for me.
The error message says: “Fehler. URLSessionTask failed with Error: Zeitüberschreitung bei der Anforderung”.

Two screenshots of my settings / error message:

Same problem here: After a restart of the phone I can open the app and get an empty sitemap error. If I change something in the settings (tried SSL as suggested above and different type of icon rendering png/svg) the app crashes and keeps crashing on every start.

Exaclty, any tip or solution?
Is it possible to have old version?

@hmerk Thanks!

Just for information:
My iPad updated the app to version 2.4.56 (1580410531) but still can not connect to the server.

Thanks for your engagement and the investigation!

Have a nice weekend!

Please post your app settings, the app is working without issues here.

Hi Hans-Jörg,

thanks for your reply.

I’ve posted my settings at (post #15), please find the screenshots there.

Openhab 2.4.56 (1580410531) is now working again on my iPhone, but not on the iPad.
Settings are identical at both devices.
I restarted the iPad to make sure everything is started properly.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry for bein late.
Just checked, the app version you mentioned is working absolutely fine on my iPad Pro with latest iPadOS.

Only difference I can see, I use http locally and https on myopenHAB.

I can’t get it working, tried it with your proposal, too (http:// instead of https:// for local connection).
I have another older iPad, too. Same there, no connection can be estabished.
Couriously it works on the iPhone with same iOS and same openHAB version.
I’ve no idea what can be the root cause here.

Thanks for tip from Uwe_Samer:
App broke on IOS upgrade to 16. Using app version 2.4.56.
Fixed by adding “http://” to the local url for me.

Hi,
I cannot confirm, openhab ios app stopped working.
Also newest version is still not loading sitemap on ios 16.1.1 with openhab ios app 2.4.56

Tried all the tips mentioned in this thread, no result.

I only use local ip with http for years now, and there where no issues.

Update: seemed to be a hiccup with my device on ios 16, the next morning its working again without any changes
Clearing cache etc. all didn‘t help.

Hi,

Having the same issue now on OH 2.5.12 with app 2.4.57(158041053381) on IOS 16.2 (b), no sitemap shown, no error in the app, either locally or remote. The sitemap works fine via browser.
Transplanting the sitemap to a testsystem on OH3.3 shows the sitemap in the app.

Any way displaying of sitemaps has changed in the testflight-apps?

" Fixed by adding “http://” to the local url for me "

That did it for me as well.

Thank you

Couriously the app now isn’t working anymore in the iPhone again since round about a week now.
App version 2.4.56 (see also my postings before), OpenHab 3.3 is running in docker on my Synology NAS.
By the way, with Android I’d never had any problems.

Thank you!
