Checked your crashlog @joep. It’s the SVG issue mentioned above. So you probably have the pantry icon in your sitemap (or another corrupted SVG icon).
Hi,
I couldn’t find those SVG icons anywhere in my installation. Today I updated to the latest TestFlight version (also tried the previous TF version) which solved the crashes! Thanks!
My daughter has an iPhone and uses OpenHAB app 2.4.41 but that version still crashes when she goes into the level of her bedroom.
I removed the app and reinstalled, but that didn’t help.
On Android that level is working fine.
Is this still a known issue, or should I make report somehow? I don’t know how to get debug info from iOS
Please try the beta release on test flight
Unfortunately I still get the same crash even after updating to latest release 2.4.43. Same behavior in TestFlight.
Please submit crash log
It seems that the sitemap crashes if I use
icon=“none”
When I removed these entries all works as expected.
I can second that!
Had crashes on all parts of Sitemap with icon=„none“.
Just copied another icon file (png) to none.png.
All parts of my Sitemaps are fine now!
Thomas
I have the same issue.
Tried to remove the none and pantry icons. Still crash.
Now I tried to install TestFlight. Unfortunately this was not possible, the phone is an iPhone 6 and Apple does not support the iOS 12 for this app anymore. Update to iOS 13 is also not supported, so no way to bring it on the phone. I read, the only possible solution would be to restore an old backup where the older version of the TestFlight was installed. But I do not own such a backup…
WORKAROUND TO PREVENT APP CRASH:
But the good news is, I found a workaround:
- Switch the phone to the flight-mode to suppress the communication between OH server and app.
- Start the OH app, this should work now
- Open the menu in the app a navigate to the settings
- Switch the display of icons to png
- Turn off the flight-mode → Now it should work
This workaround also confirms, that the issue is somehow related to the rendering of .svg. It seems the more than the already noted icons trigger the issue.
I’ve found two crashes in the underlying image processing. I’ll submit a new version for review which should hopefully fix the issues.
Hi
With ver 2.4.45 the sitemap no longer crashes when icon=“none” is used. However, instead of being empty, the sitemap is showing an exclamation warning icon
Not sure if this is on my end or not but it used to work. If it’s on my end, please advice how to prevent an icon from being shown. Thanks.
The exclamation mark should only be shown if svg parsing fails, so that’s not intended.
If you happen to have a GitHub account, could you please file an issue?
hello everyone, I am using OH2.5 and for a few days I have been having problems with the iOS App.
From today I keep on daring to crash and when I manage to enter I get the “openhab returned an empty list of sitemaps”. Yet the sitemap from the Basic UI on PC works well both locally and remotely. Can anyone help me understand what happened this time? I also restored a backup from a few months ago, everything is fine, but when the iOS App still doesn’t want to work. Thank you.
