APT snapshot installation notice

Thank you, this helped solve the issue!

I just want to verify that I am doing the upgrade correctly. I just started using OpenHAB2 3 or 4 weeks ago. I installed it by the apt-get method using the snapshot release on to a raspberry pi. To update it I would just do a apt-get update and then apt-get upgrade? I thought I read in another thread that my bindings and addons could all be deleted. Is this true?

Yes, at the moment this is true. There is an open issue for this problem.

To prevent this, you have to add all your bindings/addons to the addons.cfg file. Then they will be preserved or re-installed automatically. Your settings will noch be deleted.

bad timing, please check New folder structure

The bad thing: apt upgrade is not working right now
The good thing: this change resolves all problems with occasional setting deletions.
