I’m looking to add automated blinds to my system. Wondering if others have success stories about the best blinds to add? I think I’d be looking at “Roman” style, but I’m open to pretty much anything.
What sort of answer do you expect to an open question like that?
Choose them by design and include a motor but no control.
While there might be proprietary systems w/ an openHAB binding to support blinds (do you really mean venetian blinds as opposed to roller shutters ?), I’ve not heard any success story from these.
What is working is to use the ZWave Fibaro FGRM-223 actuators (with the dev binding).
