I have two of the Brunt engines. I have spoken with them. Currently they do not have an open public api, nor (any) open ports locally on the devices. So the short answer is it is not possible.
They have said that they want to support open connectivity and will (probably) provide an update that will allow local control (for OpenHab integration).
