IMHO this would just be a workaround that does not address the main issue: more timely patch releases. 😉

Starting with OH 3.2, developers can also choose to distribute features and fixes outside regular openHAB releases whenever they want using the [Marketplace](https://community.openhab.org/t/announcing-the-community-marketplace/127188).
