Can't get zwave controller online after deletion and re-adding controller thing

Pi4, Razberry500 Zwave Controller, openHABian 2.5.4
due to some tests I deleted my zwave controller thing and tried to add a different one. after the test I deleted again the controller thing and now I am trying to add my first controller.
Right now it is not possible to add my controller whatever I do.

This is what I have done so far:

  • I manually deleted all remaining “ghost entries” in org.eclipse.smarthome.core.thing.Thing.json. For any reason when I add a controller and delete it, it is not deleted from this json file.
  • uninstalled and re-installed the zwave-binding.
  • cleared cache
  • executed various commands from Openhabian Configuration Tool (Updates, Fixed permissions, etc)

This is the logfile after adding controller’s thing.

dmesg | grep tty*

[ 0.000696] console [tty1] enabled
[ 0.417568] fe201000.serial: ttyAMA0 at MMIO 0xfe201000 (irq = 34, base_baud = 0) is a PL011 rev2
[ 0.422861] fe215040.serial: ttyS0 at MMIO 0x0 (irq = 36, base_baud = 62500000) is a 16550

I can’t get it working. As said this controller was working without any problems an hour ago an ttyS0.

Any ideas?

I do not have the same ZWave controller, but from what I see in your logs it seems that the Razberry500 is connected to ttyAMA0, not ttyS0. Try to verify that by plugging it off, running the dmesg command again, plug it back in and run dmesg again. If that confirms my perception, change the configuration of the controller accordingly.
A suggestion: you may want to consider installing HABmin for your ZWave configurations. It gives you much better control of your ZWave devices than the other GUIs
