Hi @Alexander_Drent , there were just 3 Daikin aircos installed in my house that are managed via the Onecta app, I would like to use the binding but I think I miss something. I have added the binding via the openhabian Console and I can see it is active . However, I cannot see it in the add on store or when trying to add a “thing” as described in you user manual. What do I miss!? Best regards Henk
Nice to hear that you want to use my binding.
I can’t really tell from your question what’s wrong.
What version of OH do you use?
Did you copy the binding to the right folder? In windows it is /addons/. For linux systems I don’t know which folder this should be. I am not familiar enough with this.
Hi @Alexander_Drent , finally got a succesfull pairing! but…THing is not getting online. I think I still miss variables in the Thing setting what is the “refreshment token”, “openhab host” and the “openhab api token” ? Any help appreciated!
Hi, you do not need them. They are old. At the beginning the binding was using that. But them Daikin changed the login as it is now. The binding just had a quick fix. Did not remove the unused fields. There will be an new version of the binding and than this is all removed
I can publish the latest version,If there is interest. Its for OH 5. Its still in the pull request process. Theres quite a bit changed you have to set the binding new binding completely again. I try to get it included in OH.
Thanks Alex, That sounds very good.
If it is for version 5 I will wait until version 5 is released.
I also need to understand the hardware requirements for V5. Not sure if I have to buy new hardware.
@Alexander_Drent, it is working and all airco’s are visible. It was a struggle but it looks great. Many of the advices and comments in this community topic helped but are unfortunately not reflected in the instructions. Let me know if you want to use my learnings for next updates.
