Debugging a binding in Eclipse IDE

Can anyone kindly point me in the right direction about how to run a binding in the Eclipse IDE so that I can set breakpoints on its code?

( My current ‘solution’ is to pepper my code with lots of logger.debug() calls, and drop the jar in my operative system; but there must be a better way than that; please… )

On the Eclipse ide documentation page it describes how to run (debug) an addon: Eclipse IDE | openHAB
