[DeConz] Philips Hue Outdoor Sensor not discovered as presence sensor

  • Platform information:
    • Hardware: RPII, ConBeeII (with up-to-date firmware)
    • OS: OpenHabian
    • openHAB version: 2.5.8.SNAPSHOT
    • Homegear 0.8 as Homematic-Hub
  • My Philips Hue Outdoor Motion Sensor is only discovered as daylight sensor in OpenHab and not as presence sensor.
  • The lightsensor is working: deconz:lightsensor:2ad2164b:Outdoor_Light' changed from UNKNOWN to ONLINE so there is data communication.
  • On a Win10 machine the HUE outdoor sensor can be sucessfully registered as presence sensor in deCONZ with the same ConBeeII-Stick attached - so it’s not a hardware problem.
  • What is going wrong? How can I debug this?
  • Do I have to add the HUE binding too…even if I don’t have a HUE bridge nor lights?

We need the REST API response to see how the sensor is reported. http://<phoscon-address>/api/<api-key/sensors

Hey Jan,

thank you for the immediate response. Your hint brought me on the right track:

Because there was a “Daylight (Philips)” showing up in OpenHab, I thought I already paired the device in Phoscon. But this probably only was the Dummy sensor.
After pairing in Phoscon all features of the outdoor sensor showed up in OpenHab.

Thanks again,
Rolf
