I’m using OpenHAB 3.1 on a Raspberry Pi 4 running Raspberry Pi OS with desktop.
I recently purchased 16 Innr RS-226 Zigbee GU10 dimmable lights and I would like to control them in 3 groups: Entrance, Salon, Bedroom. Entrance group controls 8 bulbs, Salon group controls 6 bulbs, and the Bedroom group controls 2 bulbs.
I’ve added all the bulbs to my OpenHAB system using a HUSBZB-1 USB Zwave/Zigbee Hub and created a Thing and Item for each bulb.
I also created 3 dimmer groups and assigned the new bulbs items to the relevant groups based on their location.
I then added dimmer sliders to my Sitemap. For each group I created one slider that control All bulbs together, and separate sliders that manually control each bulb individually.
This setup works, but it’s not perfect, and I’m facing a few issues.
The first issue is that when I set a desired brightness level using the slider that controls All bulbs, not all the bulbs change to the same chosen brightness. A few bulbs will get the brightness I chose correctly, but a few bulbs end up being set with a lower or higher brightness level from the one I actually set.
Second problem is that a few moments after I set the desired brightness level for All bulbs, the All slider will show a “0” value instead of the brightness level I actually set.
Here is a screen video recording that demonstrates the behavior:
Is this a known issue, or is there another way to create dimmer groups that will work in a better way?
