My habpannel keeps displaying the connection lost

Basic ui says sse subscription failed running in fallback mode

An I/O error has occurred, what medium do you have openhab running on? And when was the last backup you took on your openhab2 folder with your items/rules?

Hi @anonymous.one thanks for the reply

these errors are not constant I can access the interfaces it’s just extremely frequent

RPI sd card

I have got quite a few backups but I have added quite a few things over the past few weeks

I run Amanda nightly with around 10 different backups and then a separate older backup from 2 weeks ago also containing around 10 backups from that date

Well at least you are prepared with those backups  Have you tried performing a fsck on the SD card; in my experiences linux doesn’t like to perform fsck on mounted partitions, not sure if you have other hardware to verify the SD card?

sorry for the delayed response i’m not sure if i do have the require hardware too test on a separate machine

i could spin up a linux vm but i don’t think i have a usb memory card reader too pass through the card

i’m also still a linux beginner

2019-02-10 23:15:29.635 [ERROR] [ersey.server.ServerRuntime$Responder] - An I/O error has occurred while writing a response message entity to the container output stream.

This error seems due to an issue with UIs, in my case, accessing OH through the ios app reliable produces this error for a long time. there are quite a few threads in this forum on this…bottom line, you can safely ignore this.

Your influx warning however seem to indicate that your integration with influxDB does have troubles. You will need to check your items whether this is still a problem for you.

Sometimes when you change a lot, it helps to restart OH2, on linux:

sudo service openhab2 stop
sudo openhab-cli clean-cache #(answer with yes)
sudo service openhab2 start

And wait for a few minutes for everything to come back online.
You did not say what version of OH you are running, the above assumes that you are running OH2

Hi @lipp_markus thanks for the reply

I’m using the android app do you think still safe too ignore ?

i find this is a problem alot of the time

yes OH2

Yes, both apps seem to have this problem

I have grown it a habit to restart OH2 with the process outlined above every time I am changing persistence to things.
By the way, you still have not told what version of OH2 you are running; OH2 is still undergoing a transformation and between versions and snapshots there can be a huge difference in stability.

Openhab 2.4.0.1 stable

If the above does not work, you may want to try to update to 2.5M1, maybe this resolves issues for you too.
As I mentioned, OH2 is undergoing quite some transformations these days and there had been a few changes. I have no experience with influxDB myself, though, keep that in mind.
