Easy way to handle multiple “if X on then Y on” rules

No, just one rule is needed. You don’t care whether it changes to ON or OFF, just that it changed. BTW, the HA “gurus” in the portuguese domotics channel were not able to find such a simple solution, and like you have mentioned in the first post, suggested two rules (ON/OFF) for each device that can control others.
