Ebus WiFi interface suggestions

Gang,

I am considering making a Ebus hardware interface that connects over WiFi. I intend it to be cheap and easy to install and use.

Can someone suggest a connector to be used, preferably PCB mountable, and dimensions of enclosure to fit as many different Ebus devices as possible??

Highly appreciated. Thanks
Niclas

I would prefer a direct connection to the eBus, the protocol allows long distances.
WiFi is nice, but you add a latency to the connection that could make it hard to send telegrams. For read-only this is not relevant.

I would connect a ESP8266 module (like NodeMCU) with a TTL eBus converter and then put all in a nice enclure. I would use a standard pcb screw connector and a Micro USB connector for power if you use a NodeMCU.
