Enocean: USB or GPIO?

Any advice on whether the EnOcean Pi 868 GPIO or the USB 300 stick is the better choice for an EnOcean gateway?
I noticed that two of the pins needed for the GPIO module appear to be the same used by RPi case fans. Is that right?

The EnOcean binding seems to be in a pretty good place now :slightly_smiling_face:

Both work, however the gpio version requires some settings (openhabian can be used for that). The result is that Bluetooth will have to be disabled. All in all, the USB version is a bit more straightforward.

Ok, what with the pin problem, the USB stick seems a better option
