Error adding zwave device to database

Hi All,

I’m trying to get a device added into the z-wave database but am receiving a generic “Error” when I try to create it. I have tired adding </node> to the end of my file but no change.

Does anyone have any advice?

Perhaps missing closing tag ( </node>) ?

You should double check that the device was actually not created. Sometimes the importer will return an error even though the entry was created.

For me the importer seems to always return an error. I just search the database and find it to continue editing it.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. It had created the device despite the error and I’m getting it added now.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for all the help lately. I’ve almost got this thing done but there does not seem to be a PDF of the manual available anywhere. I took a picture and encoded it as a PDF but it seems to be too big to upload at that point. Anyway around the PDF manual requirement?

What device? sometimes some creative searching finds one.

The manufacture has no manual download and emails to thier support dept say that the box is full.

That looks similar to devices already in the database. Compare you r manual with the one from this device. We may just need to add your device to that entry.

Awesome! Thanks man.

It seems to be a little bit different but close enough that will work.
