Hi,
I wanted to start from a clean installation, I downloaded the image file of openhabian and the installation constantly stops always, reporting:
Installing Java Zulu 32-Bit OpenJDK…
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
FAILED
openHABian] Initial setup exiting with an error!
Is there an official solution to solve the problem or at the moment the installation with openhabian is impossible?
Thanks.

Try selecting 60 “Manual.Fresh Setup” & then 63 " Zulu OpenKDK 32-bit". I believe that worked for me.
Selecting 62 “Packages” appears to be broken.

Hi,
In this moment I try to install openhabian, can I access the openhabian configurator even if the installation crashes?
You should be able to type sudo openhabian-configurator
It was just the installation of Zulu that crashed.

Thanks, I can enter to the openhabian-config.
I use the raspberry, the correct version of Zulu is 32 o 64bit?
32 bit.
Raspbian is a 32 bit OS and it was the 32 bit version that failed earlier.

You are right, I have tried but always error:
Installing Java Zulu 32-Bit OpenJDK…
$ wget -nv -O /tmp/openhabian.kOD2D/zulu8.tar.gz
http://: Invalid host name.
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I was able to get Java Zulu installed but couldn’t proceed with the installation further?

I have the same error message when I use sudo openhabian-configurator
to update installed packages. Seems to me like the selected Java package for openhabian is broken right now?

Yep, same problem here. Just downloaded ‘openhabian-pi-raspbian-201908050414-gitca0976f-crc6a66b5a1.img.xz’ and tried installing it on a brand new Pi 4 (4GB model) with the same error as above

A few days ago I had the same problem but this is the solution.
I have a workaround:
1: when install fails, open /opt/openhabian/functions/java-jre.bash
change the middle line. this will skip the java selection
# Fetch and copy new JAVA runtime
cond_redirect wget -nv -O "$jdkTempLocation"/zulu8.tar.gz https://cdn.azul.com/zulu-embedded/bin/zulu8.40.0.178-ca-jdk1.8.0_222-linux_aarch32hf.tar.gz
tar -xpzf "$jdkTempLocation"/zulu8.tar.gz -C "${jdkTempLocation}"
2: open /boot/first-boot.bash
and comment these 3 lines. this wil prevent the previous fil…

Got the same error a few days ago. Solved it by downloading the openhabian image again and put it onto another SD card.
