Everspring AN301-3 - No option to add new device

Hello,

I have various Everspring z-wave AN157 switches around my house. I bought a new one that looks identical, but it has a new model number: AN301-3

I signed up on opensmarthouse.org but I don’t have the Create Device button that’s described in the guide:

The device type of an AN157 in the database is 0004:0001,0104:0001
The device type of my new AN301-3 in OpenHab is 0060:0004:000F::1.1

This makes me think it should be a new device?

The Z-wave XML for the new Everspring AN301-3 is attached.

If anyone can guide me how to add this to the database, I would be grateful thank you.

Did you open ticket to request “write” access as directed in the blog?

Also, you could possibly save some work if the device properties, etc. match the existing entry. If that is the case, you can just add 0004:000F to the existing item. (However, it looks to have one more channel)

Thanks - I’ve opened a ticket to request. Good idea I will check and compare the device properties, I don’t think this new one has any new features, but the protocol seems to be RF protocol: Z-Wave Plus rather than just RF protocol: Z-Wave

https://www.everspring.com/portfolio-item/an157-on-off-plug/
https://www.everspring.com/portfolio-item/an301/

I’d probably lean towards the new device option in that case.

From the point of view of the Z-Wave database, they are different devices:

  • AN157: no configuration parameters
  • AN301: configuration parameter 1

Please add a new device to the Z-Wave database.

Thanks for your help - new device submitted for review!

Not an official review, but it looks like from the manual that the device has two association groups and one parameter. Those need to be added manually

Thanks for making me aware of this! Found and added.

I was looking at the AN157 which doesn’t have those options. I compared to another plug for the formats, and I’ve added the association groups, as well as the parameter for remembering the last status too.

Edit - ignore the update below I wrote on the wrong thread
