Failing to add semantic tag: Error saving: Bad Request

  • Platform information:

    • Hardware: Ryzen 5500/16Gb
    • OS: Gentoo linux
    • Java Runtime Environment: openjdk-bin-21.0.8_p9
    • openHAB version: 5.0.3-r2

  • Issue of the topic:

    when trying to add new semantic tag to my model (namely inside→room→wardrobe) I get “Error saving: Bad Request“ message when trying to save the result.

  • If logs where generated please post these here using code fences: no errors in log

It works for me. But you must use a capital “W” for the name of the new tag.

Please show how you added this new semantic tag.

Yep, that was the issue. It would be nice if it is stated somewhere or (and) error message would be more informative. Thanks a lot!

I got a pretty useful warning before I hit save.

That’s how I knew it needed to start with a capital letter.

Very strange… That’s what I got on 5.0.3. Probably it’s already fixed.
