FGKF601 (Z-wave) physical remote, OH3 - solved

I’ve been using the FGKF601 physical remote successfully with OH2.
Purpose: controlling z-wave power outlets (switching lights on/off). This was achieved by rules.

The rules stopped working after upgrading to OH3.

Trying to change “association groups” of the item FGKF601 results in status “pending”.

Is there anybody who is using a physical Z-wave remote in order to control power outlets and who can guide me in the right direction in order to get things working.

System: openHAB 3.3.0 on Raspberry pi

Did you wake the device to get the associations transmitted?
