I recently purchased a Fibaro FGMS-001 sensor and when I went to pair it the sensor was successfully included in the network and the binding places it in the inbox but I get a message that the “device discovery could not resolve to a thingType manufacturer data not known”. It’s on the list of supported devices and when I add the device from the inbox the message I get is that the device is not in the database. Does the database need to be update? Can I update anything? How to I go about getting it to be recognized?

It will take a while to fully discover a battery operated thing like FGMS-001, because it does not communicate with openHAB as often as a line powered device. I’d expect this to be your “problem”.
You may wake up the FGMS-001 by pressing the B-button (see manual) shortly. Then there will be some communication. You may have to repeat this several times, until the device is fully discovered.
