After weeks of trying, upgrading openhab2, my OS etc…i have it being recognized and on my system. I’ve noticed that the alarm trips in the rest interface and gets set to ON…even though the smoke detector never goes off(nor should it because this is no smoke or carbon monoxide).
Anyone else notice this or have this issue?
Thanks

I can’t be of any direct help, but I would suggest to be a little bit more precise.
Which smoke sensor? Which technology (wired, knx, zwave etc.)? Which OH version (beta, snapshot)?

Ah ok. Sorry, I didn’t knew “First Alert” until now, so I haven’t interpreted your topic right.
Unfortunately, I still couldn’t help.

In case you missed it, there’s good info here. Read the whole thread. Note, it’s from 2015 ish, so all code is now in the official release.
Perform the z-wave binding sequence as documented in the manual, but do not put the controller into include mode.
Basically, pull the battery tray out, hold the test button down while you slide the battery tray back in, and keep it held until you hear the beep. This causes it to wake up, and you should have a XML file at that point.
