Fronius Binding on 3.12 playing up?

HI All,
Im seeing these in the logs, the device is contactable and has no network issues but the logs are showing this. It appears to be working in terms of it updating the energy figures though. Any suggestions? Ive restarted a few times

The thing then goes offline ERROR:COMM but again, the thing is pingable

This issue might have been fixed by this https://github.com/openhab/openhab-addons/pull/12255 which got into 3.3

Any reason why you aren’t on the latest 3.4.5 or even 4.x?

@JimT I think I’ve found maybe an issue in this binding.

It relates to the inverter thing.

I have two inverters, one smart meter. Both inverters worked fine using item files from 2.5.12 but now only the garage inverter works fine on 3.4.5, the house inverter is not picking up the AC Power channel using this item.

(WORKS)

The items match - 99ccb is the problematic thing

Same issue, recreated the Inverter and the Bridge, all channels populate but the AC Power inverter channel, it comes up as UNDEF

Why is the item Number:Energy? Shouldn’t it be Number:Power?

The other inverter (ive got 2 x Fronius units, 1 smart meter) works fine and has for years on Number:Energy

I still suspect there’s a mis configuration somewhere.
Can you post the config (not screenshots) of the bridge, thing and item? Are they all configured using .things / .items files? If so, post them here

Ive just deleted the item from the and created it via a different name via the GUI and away its working! Weird

I think ill just move my items over to the GUI configuration now
