Fronius Inverter self consumption calculation in W

Has anybody managed to calculate the inverter self consumption in Watt, based on item “powerflowselfconsumption”?

Description states: “The current relative self consumption in %”

I’m wondering on percentage of what?

Is it inverter AC input power + DC input power, i.e. AC input can be zero, but DC input should be considered just if positive?

The self consumption could’ve been calculated yourself from the available power flow data, but it’s provided by the inverter for convenience.

You don’t need to calculate that back into watt - you just use the power flow data already available to you in raw form (watt).

The self consumption is how much of your own generated (and/or stored?) power is being used by yourself.

So if your PV generates 10kW and your home draws 6kW of power, the self consumption is 60%. You self consume 60% of what you generate and export 40% of it.

If the PV generates 2kW and your home draws 6kW, your self consumption is 100% and your export is 0%

You are right, my fault :frowning:

For some reason i was under the assumption it’s the inverter self consumption, instead of house self concumption.
