This is a question I’d like to be answered before I switch to OH. I’m currently using Home Assistant. With HA there are some generic devices like a thermostat that can be feed by any thermometer and drive any switch (actor). Is there something similar available with OH? Please answer only if you know what a Generic Thermostat is with HA and what it looks like.
Given most of the peopls on this forum are not now and have never been HA users, this is going to severly reduce the number of people who can answer. Maybe a link to what you are talking about or a description of what you are talking about?
In general OH doesn’t do “generic devices” as such but the primary focus of OH is automation so .
