Getting zigbee to work on openHAB 2

Hello all!

Newbie here and I’m trying to set up zigbee to control some GE bulbs. I have openHAB 2 (downloaded from the master/main github repository) running on a raspberry pi 2. I also bought the TI zigbee dongle mentioned in issue 142 on github. But from here, I can’t figure out what to do.

  1. Do I need to remove my current OH2 and install the zigbee branch of OH2?
  2. Do I need to install zigbee4java library?

There are more questions I want to ask, but hopefully I’ll figure them out once I have some lead on the above two questions.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I don’t see Zigbee binding in this page https://github.com/openhab/openhab2/blob/master/docs/sources/addons.md

Please throw some light on how to install, configure and use it.

I have now simple zigbee modules which I would like to test with openhab2.

I tried to compile OH2 with zigbee but facing some issues which I posted in github https://github.com/openhab/openhab2/issues/142#issuecomment-157479132.

Have you tried to compile it and please let me know if it worked for you.

Thanks.

@bilkvn, did you find the solution for your problem ?

Not yet. I need to figure out how to compile the OH2 with zigbee haha. Did you manage to compile it successfully?

Sorry for late response, we have started using New binding for home made hardware
