Global functions for use in rules

Are global functions a feature which is planned for the future, or maybe already has a milestone?

I am not up to speed on this, but I believe this may be supported (in the future) by the “next-generation rules engine”, so let’s keep our fingers crossed,

Yes, this would be a “lambda function”. Take a look at this tutorial:
