After reconfiguring my system, I had to go through the hassle of setting up my nest thermostats again. While the process is fairly well documented google does keep changing things on their end. There are also MANY steps involved and I find the process quite error prone.

I don’t know what it would take and if it costs $, but is it possible to setup an official openHAB project at google so that nest and other google SDM devices would be natively supported vs. every user having to setup a development project, oauth access, pub/sub subscriptions, …?
