Correct, i will be rolling this out during the week, i’ll let everyone know when its finished.
well, since i needed to restart all services today anyways , i went ahead and rolled out our new container, so 3.0 should be fully supported !
Hi… thank you. Yes the admin page is now working after a clean install.
But Alexa discovery from the phone app is still giving HTTP protocol WWW-Authenticator error. Any suggestions to solve this. thnx
After testing, openhab’s first time setup happened faster with Zulu’s openJDK over Raspberry Pi OS’s openJDK. They’re both much faster than I remember on the Pi (used a 3B+), but it’ll still make a difference to use Zulu.
i use openhabian, how do i update from 2 to 3?
i disable ZRAM and run sudo apt install openhab commend then he wrote down
E: Unable to locate package openhab
you need to switch to snapshot in openhabian-config
(or edit the repo files)
EDIT: Beware that openHABian does not support OH3 yet.
how do i switch to snapshot in openhabian-config?
oh come on
menu 41
i get error: There was an error or interruption during the execution of: │
│ “40 | openHAB related”
echo 'deb https://openhab.jfrog.io/openhab/openhab-linuxpkg unstable main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openhab2.list
Not sure where it goes wrong for me.
Tried it on a clone of my current production machine, and on a newly installed ubuntu 20.
Always getting “No apt package openhab”.
He proposes to use the snap installation way, but this results in ‘already installed’?
Any suggestion what I can try next?

No apt package "openhab", but there is a snap with that name.
Try "snap install openhab"

snap install openhab

Thanks for your feedback!
This is a known issue, please read Troubleshooting section in the first post.
I just tried the manually way, and this installed fine on a fresh Ubuntu 20.
Now trying to find the difference between 0H3 and OH2.5…
Tried the move to openHAB3 via the openhabian-config 41 (including the troubleshooting step), however it ended like:
mv: das Verschieben von '/var/lib/openhab/config/org/eclipse/smarthome/storage/json.config' nach '/var/lib/openhab/config/org/openhab/storage/json.config' ist nicht möglich: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten des Paketes openhab (--configure):

Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
openhab

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
After manually creating the the folder /var/lib/openhab/config/org/openhab/storage
it did work!
openHABian is not yet ready for OH3 so you shouldn’t try to use it for this purpose.
Ups, in this case I missunderstood your conversation above with user “razserv2010”.
That was just how to switch to snapshots if you’re on openHABian because that’s what he asked.
Granted I should have made that clearer (and re-reading I think he made me victim to the XY problem).
Hi guys
first of all thanks for your great job.
After installing i have the following errors in log file
2020-10-04 07:09:58.039 [ERROR] [rnal.ChannelStateDescriptionProvider] - Dynamic state description matches original state description. DynamicStateDescriptionProvider implementations must never return the original state description. class org.openhab.binding.mqtt.generic.MqttChannelStateDescriptionProvider has to be fixed.
and the second one is related to influxdb persistence:
