Hi and apologies for not being a Linux expert…
When I type ssh –p 8101 openhab@localhost to get to the Karaf console which I have done many times before I am now getting the following error:
ssh: Could not resolve hostname \342\200\223p: Name or service not known
This looks like a corruption of some sort.I haven’t used the console since before upgrading to 2.1.0 but don’t know if its related, everything else works fine as before.
i think that’s a copy/paste issue… try to type the command in the terminal, it will work…
your “-” in front of the p seems to be too long

Yes thank you, I have a word doc that I keep all the notes I take throughout development in.
And yep I must have typed that note in wrong and when I copied it (lazy I know) …

Don’t blame yourself. I don’t think you typed the note in wrong, it’s Word that changes the dash to this ‘long dash’ the same way as it automatically corrects upper/lower casing, changes the asterisk into a bullet, etc…
Always be careful when using Word. Many have been bitten by this including myself (multiple times :)).
yes! use a plain text editor for those purposes!
