- I have installed openhab on my windows 10 environment in parallels running on my MacBook Air. My macOS is too old for the macOS install of openhab. I installed java 21 first then openhab and everything seemed to go smoothly but when I try to go to the local host url provided to get to the system it doesn’t see local host or that url. I shut off the firewall just in case. What else do I need to do to get this working? Thanks!
This is going to be a question best answered on a Parallels forum. Parallels provides a whole VM and you need to configure the VM so it either appears as a separate machine on your network, or it bridges to the network from your Mac in a way that it can listen for incoming connections.
But localhost on your Mac is not going to ever point to the Windows VM. For all intents and purposes that’s a wholly separate machine.
