I wanted to give you a quick update on where things stand. Since mid-January, I’ve been heads-down preparing everything to submit this as an official add-on.
Here is what’s been happening behind the scenes:
Code Quality & Requirements: I’ve been busy aligning the project with official code requirements and adjusting dependencies to ensure a stable foundation.
UI Improvements: I’ve updated the user interface to provide better clarity. You’ll now have a much better understanding of what’s actually happening under the hood.
Deep Dive into Communication: I’ve gained a lot of insight into the logic and communication flow between the app and the home appliance.
What’s currently in the works?
I am currently developing a State Service. This service reflects the live configuration of your appliance, making it much easier to see exactly which commands and settings are available at any given time.
When can you try it?
I think I still need a little more time before the first version is ready for a public release, but I wanted to make sure you’re kept in the loop.

Awesome! Looking forward to it I believe we discussed this in the past, Bsh released a bunch of smart vacuums that the binding is not able to connect to, and I happen to have one of them. If you get around to it let me know to help test
has anybody installed the firmware updates that are currently provided by Bosch for the dryer and the washing machine? Is the binding still working with the new firmware?
If anyone has a dryer, could they send me a screenshot of the program options from Home Connect app? Here is an example of what it looks like for a washing machine.
I have made all options available as openHAB channels for the washing machine.
happy to help btw wouldn’t the profile of the appliance have all of these details? I have a bunch of them if you’d like I can share them with you (oven, hob, vacuum, dishwasher, dryer)
The official Home Connect app is worth checking out every so often, even though it’s true that the appliance profiles contain all the necessary values. The problem is that there are so many of them that you can easily lose track.
It would be great if you could send me your dishwasher, tumble dryer and hob profiles via PM. I would also be interested in seeing some screenshots of the hob section in your Home Connect app. Thank you.
