Homekit addon development activity

Hi,
I watched the activity on the homekit addon closely over the last month or so and there was no activity on issues or development whatsoever. Is @beowulfe still active? I really would like to get in touch, as I have my openhab + homekit setup up and running and hit some limitations and I really would love to contribute. E.g.
Support for battery backed devices or binary window sensors etc. However I do not want to make any double effort.

That is the reason for reaching out. Can anyone give me the current state of the addon?

Update: @beowulfe is still active and the HomeKit addon undergoes some major refactoring triggered by the Eclipse Smarthome Metadata Service which was introduced recently.
