I already had a similar configuration. I tried yours and it doesn’t work either. 
I`ll continue to use the homebridge-plugin with homebridge-zway (https://www.npmjs.com/package/homebridge-zway) - without openhab2. This works great so far.
But in the future I would like to use openhab2… the cross-manufacturer platform is too attractive… Do you still use openhab2 with homekit? Can you recommend any suitable thermostats?
