I’m having trouble getting OpenHab to recognize my Honey ZW4005 switch. It pairs with my Nortek HUSBZ-1. However, OpenHab reports it as Unknown Device. I’ve tried reinitializing the device multiple times without any luck. I’m running OpenHab 2.3.0.
In any case, forgetting the IDs, what exactly is the device? You said “It’s a Honeywell like the first one” - does that mean it’s exactly the same as the first one, or just that it’s made by Honeywell (or at least sold by Honeywell)?
Often devices are sold under multiple manufacturer IDs, but we need to know what the device actually is, or we just need to add a new entry from scratch.
Here is my problem, I don’t know what to do with it now. I can’ find a procedure on what to do with this XML file now and make it so my switch will work.
By the way, I can discover it but it says its unknown.
I’m another newbie to OpenHab and so far it has been nice to work with but I hit a similar problem to what others have seen. I have done some looking around via Google and the community and I think the next step to solving my problem is to ask someone with a bit more experience to help.
I purchased one of the Honeywell Z-Wave Switches and it looks like I got an updated model unless I miss interpreting what I’m seeing.
I can discover the 39354 Honeywell switch but it shows as “Unknown Device” looking into it I see it has a Reference (Type:Id) = 4952:3137 not what OpenHab is expecting. The OH DB for the binding has the 39354 in it on version 2.5.0 but that is looking for Type:Id of 4952:3037.
