what are you using as a house intercom system? I do not need anything too fancy. Group calls, auto answer, maybe video calls.
It seems that iOS apps are not yet up for the task. What solutions (buy or DIY) are you using?

I agree with Udo, your “nothing fancy” is basically a full PBX system, for which I think Asterisk is the most popular.
As for want I’m using, Google Home Hubs and Google Home Minis and the “send broadcast” command.
