How many IP cameras are you currently using with openHAB?
Do you display live streams all the time, or only when needed?
I’d be interested to know how people manage larger installations.
I’m using 3 cameras with frigate and process the alert events via mqtt with openhab. Benefit is that you have ai based object detection and one can distinguish between an animal, a child, or an adult.. You can set up rules like… send an alarm if a car or bicycle stands in front of the garden gate for more than 5 seconds or train the AI model to recognize open garden gates or your personal DHL driver 
Four cameras with IPCamera binding
Three cameras but only one of them is really actively in use. I use the IP binding and the snapshot URL provided by the IP binding to show my garage doors on MainUI so I can have eyes on the doors before triggering them.
Four POE Reolink cameras with IP camera binding covering home entrances. I capture a 10 second gif with motion stored in OH. I use separate Z-wave motion detectors to trigger. Periodically review and delete, besides our own comings and goings, deliveries, mostly wild animal activity. Also, could extract recent activity in HD via reolink API, if needed, as I have 32 GB sd cards in the camera but rarely do that.
